Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will primarily cover one of our patient service centers, ensuring efficient and accurate blood sample collection from patients. Your contribution will be vital to our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • ​Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients.

  • Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of collected samples.

  • Safely and efficiently transport collected samples to the laboratory.

  • Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy area in accordance with safety guidelines.

  • Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Keep updated on the latest phlebotomy techniques and best practices.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth patient experience.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.

  • Current phlebotomy certification (e.g., CPT or similar).

  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or medical setting is preferred.

  • Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, medical terminology, and laboratory procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach when dealing with patients.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with infection control and safety measures.

Pay Rate:
  • Starting at $19.00

Schedule:
  • M-F, 1-5pm (Part-time)
